Designs by William Reuschel

William started working with metals in 2005 after being introduced to chain mail for costuming. His first creation was a simple double spiral chain with a clasp on it. This inspired William to research new weaves and create more pieces.

Today William works with a range of metals from aluminum to bronze, and is experimenting with anodizing titanium and niobium.

Each weave he creates has its own unique pattern and purpose. In the mailer's realm a weave can be of a single category or draw from multiple schools. These are influenced by the traditional European, Persian, or Oriental methods for connecting rings. They may be spirals, Orbital, or hybrid weaves. The use of rings as a single unit creates an attractive symmetry and rugged yet very delicate look.

Gem'n I is proud to carry these hand made creations in sterling silver.
