Emerald is a member of the Beryl species along with Aquamarine, Morganite, Bixbite and others.
Emeralds are found in just about every corner of the world, including, but not limited to: Colombia, Brazil, Africa and North Carolina.
Visible inclusions are acceptable for Emeralds, and the French word "Jardin" (garden), is a term used to describe them.
Emeralds are typically oiled, and if the oil is not colored, it is an acceptable treatment.
