FEATURED!
Although this stone was sold to us as natural and of Tibetan origin; we do not believe this to be true.
There is a great deal of controversy surrounding red and green feldspar from any origin other than Oregon. There is evidence to suggest that the color is from the heavy treatment of colorless or yellow material, likely from a location other than Tibet.
As we can't guarantee the source of the material or the color, or even if the color will be stable, we will not sell this stone.
This item will be left on the website simply to make known to consumers that there are questions about this material.

UPDATE: Since posting this stone in Feb. 2008, we have worked with the ISG and consumers to prove this material is falsely colored through treatment. It has now been made public that all "Andesine/Labradorite" begins its life as common yellow feldspar and is chemically treated to achieve colors other than yellow.
Recently this has been confirmed by a number of scientists and Labs, and the AGTA has now announced its requirement of treatment disclosure regarding this material.
At this time, the only known, proven source of natural material in colors other than yellow is the rare copper bearing material from Oregon.
Gem'n I is proud to offer this material directly from the mines and proud to have been a part of the investigations bringing this to light.
